Luis Felipe Orozco CortesWe are making a remote monitoring system for a set of reclosers scattered around a town, the objetive is to have the information from all the reclosers available in a control center were few commands can be also executed.
The communication protocol of the reclosers is Modbus, but the wireless communication must be done by IEC 60870-5-104 protocol so a gateway is used in each recloser for the data before going out from the modems.
The Gateways are Prolinx from Prosoft Technology and the reclosers are Nulec from Schneider.
The SCADA was developed in Vijeo Citect from Schneider and the wired (ethernet)communication was normaly stablished so the software and the system configuration could be tested ok.
The system is supposed to use a last mile system for dialing the modems and obtain the data from them. We are making a test using a modem in the PC with the SCADA and other in the recloser after the gateway mentioned. After configuring the modems the communication was stablished only once; the signal is good (19 and 22 in the modem scale), the APN detected and the other configuration parameters and times seems to be ok too, but we cannot get data from the recloser.
