After spending many days reading incomplete and confusing guides, documentation, forum posts, and trying by myself unsuccessfully, I decided to create a new post.
I would love to have a step-by-step guide to have the Basic Station packet forwarder running on my MTCDTIP-L4E1-275L-868 (Outdoor, mLinux, 2x EU868 LoRa v2.1 boards, LoRa-geolocation, LTE + WiFi) with either The Things Network, either Chirpstack.
The gateway has the latest base version of mLinux 5.3.5 (mlinux-base-image-mtcdt.jffs2)
I really appreciate the help you may give.
With best regards
Sebastian
A Basic Station forwarder for the v2.1 geolocation gateways is not provided in mLinux or mPower releases at this time.
Dear Jason,
Thank you for your fast response.
Do you have any estimate date when it would be available?
If no, will the Basic Station forwarder for the v1.5 (spi) work on a v2.1 gateway, maybe resigning to the LoRa-based localization?
I will need to verify if/when there will be support for v2.1 in Basic Station.
No the v1.5 version will not work with the v2.1 gateway.
Only UDP LoRa Packet Forwarder is supported.
Dear Jason,
Thank you for your response. I suggest to clarify the current support for this gateway, in order to help others to save time with unfruitful tries.
Please, keep me posted about the support of Basic Station for v2.1
With best regards
Sebastian
