Dear,
we are considering moving to xDot from mDot.
A mDot module is easy to place on top of UDK and remove and place on your custom board. They have side pins and so on.
Differently, xDot have solder points on the PCB’s bottom plane. So, I guess we should design our breakout board, solder the xDot on top, and program via the JP1 connector.
Am I right? Is there out there any design to easy this process which I’m missing? Please let me know.
Kaz Ola,
We have a developer guide for the xDot which contains information about putting xDots on your own boards and programming them (chapter 13). It’s on the MTS xDot page.
