Join Accept not received by mDot

I’m trying to join an mDot to the network server on board the mlinux but it doesn’t seem to receive the accept. Looking at the log, I can the request coming in and being processed and the accept being sent out, but the mDot gives a “Failed to join network” error. Both are set to public network, ADR is on and the accept is being sent on the same SF as the request, the log shows the accept going out about 4.7s after the request is received (I assume I can’t use the log messages as an accurate timing record of messages but this shows it’s in or around the correct 5s value for a public network).

I could do with suggestions of what I might be overlooking! I can post logs and configs if needed.

Follow-up question: At the start of the network server log I see a JSON structure showing the full config. This contains far more than what I see in the lora-network-server.conf file. Where can I edit these extra settings?
