    Hi,

I am currently experimenting with the mDot and the AT Command firmware.

My mDot is a US915 one, but I wonder if would be possible to change the frequency to EU868 (you know, for experimentation purposes)?

I’ve tried using at+freq=EU868 and at+freq=868, but both result in errors (i.e. Invalid arguments). Am I doing something wrong, or is this the behaviour I should be expecting given the fact that my mDot model is US915?

I was under the impression that the hardware was the same regardless of the frequency used. Is that correct? If so, and if it is true that the firmware does not allow the user to modify the frequency band, is it so because of regulatory reasons (i.e. the firmware is designed so that mDots sold in the US and Canada are intended to be used with 915 MHz band and this is a way of enforcing this?)?

Thank you for your time and support. A+

    Frank

AT Firmware v3.0.0 is available for different regions.

Be sure to AT&F to reset to defaults and then AT&W to save new defaults.
