When I issue the at+join command I receive the following error:

Join Error – Failed to join network

When I issue the tail -f /var/log/lora-network-server.log command,
the log reports the following error.

Tossing join request, invalid NET EUI

The mDot Firmware version is: 0.1.4
The mDot Library version is: 0.0.9

    The mlinux-version is: 3.1.0

I am not sure what version of the Conduit Network Server and Package Forwarder is installed. How do I find out the version number for the Network Server and Package Forwarder?

Do I need to upgrade in order to make a connection or is there something else that is not configured correctly?

I verified that my network name and passphrase are the same for both the mDoT configuration and the Conduit configuration.

    Thanks,

    James

To list the currently installed versions of lora packages on Conduit:

$ opkg list | grep lora

    Upgrade page for mLinux:

    Upgrade page for AEP:

    Jason,

Thanks for the information you provided. Provided below are the version numbers for the lora-network-server, lora-packet-forwarder and lora-query.

    lora-network-server – 0.0.3-r0.0
    lora-packet-forwarder – 1.4.1-r7.0
    lora-query – 0.0.1-r0.0

Based on this information, am I not able to join the network with my mDot because I don’t have the correct versions of the lora-network-server and lora-packet-forwarder installed?

    Thanks,

    James

    James,

That is correct, you need to upgrade your lora software (see instructions Jason linked to).

    Jason or Brandon,

I have one additional question for you. I am using a windows 7 professional computer and not a linux computer. I downloaded the most recent lora-packet-forwarder and lora-network-server files from the Downloads page.

They are stored in a directory on my Windows PC. How do I use the linux SCP command to copy both of the packages to the Conduit?

    Thanks,

    James

    Brandon,

I figured out how to do it. I download Winscp and used this utility to copy the files over to the Conduit.

    Thanks,

    James

    Brandon and Jason,

Thanks for your help. I am now able to join the network from my mDot Lora card.
