    Hi not sure lux is 3 bytes all my tests indoor & outdoor
    Payload in bytes – EVB parser
    0efffd0f08062231 050022 0b0190 – indoor lux: 8.16
    0e06ff0e08062221 051a08 0b0189 – outdoor lux: 1599.36

    Does the screen on the dotbox display values in that same range?

    Yep reading 1x also I tested at “lux”:15728.4 still 2 bytes running v2.0.0 of box/evb

    Hi Lawrence,
    The values you included in your first post appear reasonable. The lux value is two bytes not three. I’ll have to track down why the documentation indicates 3 bytes.
    We configure the light sensor for 16 bits and a range up to 16000 or 0x3e80. I don’t know what would cause the ffff value. Can you tell me more about when or how the ffff occurs for you?
