Using multiple gateways in same network

Hi, I am working on an application with xdots and conduits where the end devices are moving around a lot and we would like to extend range by adding multiple gateways to the network. From reading the lora spec I believe this to be possible, however I am not sure how to implement it. Can we use the same network id and key for all of the gateways in the network? Or would that cause problems? I am just looking for some tips to getting started on the implementation of this.
