I have a mdot and a conduit. I want to upload the AT firmware in my mdot since it is: Firmware 0.1.4 and library 0.0.9
I want to use it in AT mode without creating my own programs to run inside because I am using an external board to run my sketch.
Can I upload the firmware /library with a jtag I have at home? How should I do that?
Hi,
The easiest way to update firmware on an mDot is using a UDK2 or MDK.

You may also be able to update with a JTAG programmer, but we don’t officially support that scheme. The interface on the UDK2 and MDK uses SWD to communicate with the processor on the mDot. The mDot pinout diagram shows where the JTAG/SWD pins are

Hello Mike, could you please tell me which program do I need to upload a new firmware from a jtag? I would want to try to do it but I don’t see anything on the documentation apart to “copy the new firmware to the dev board and send some AT commands…”
The application you will need to use on your PC will depend on what JTAG programmer you are using.
Do you not have a UDK2 or MDK board with your mDot?
I have one like this: http://m.dhgate.com/product/st-link-v2-stm8-and-stm32-mcu-usb-jtag-in/141357793.html
I don’t know where my company bought it but it is the same model.
I do not have a UDK2 or MDK board. Just an mdot and a conduit station.
Then you should be able to use the ST-Link utility from ST.
