Add a new Gateway to my devicehq account

Hello dear Multitech team,

In our case, we had a MTCAP gateway connected to deviceHq without any problem. our goal but today is to add another MTCDT 246A Gateway to my profile. for this, I put the same account key in the new gateway remote part (cheked enable part). the problem is that I can’t see the gateway joined to DeviceHq. even by using Check-in to deviceHq. To note that I’m using ethernet cable to connect the gateway to my PC, so it could be an issue with that ?

Hello SaSa

The Gateway will need a path to the Internet and be able to resolve a hostname to successfully check-in to DeviceHQ.
You can verify successful Internet connectivity on the Gateway by going to “Administration” “Debug Options” and use the ‘Ping’ feature to ping a hostname http://www.google.com
