Just answering here for people searching how to persist /etc/resolv.conf (always good practice to keep copies of originals):
edit /etc/default/volatiles/00_core, and remove the two lines that symlink and set null contents to /etc/resolv.conf.
edit /etc/default/rcS and set VOLATILE_ENABLE_CACHE=no.
You can now edit /etc/resolv.conf to contain what you want, and it will persist through reboot.
Cheers
Rob
ok, answer my own second point (should go digging first me thinks).
V8 dropped support for ARMv5 aligned with node.js v0.10, so that’s why (later versions can’t be compiled to run on the Conduit hardware)
ok, answer part of this myself (for others if needed).
Found the ~30MB upgrade image in http://multitech.net/mlinux/images/mtcap/4.0.1/
then it’s simply copy to /var/volatile, and /usr/sbin/mlinux-firmware-upgrade /var/volatile/mlinux-mtcap-image-mtcap-upgrade-withboot.bin
