Using recepies from layers.openembedded.org

Is it possible to use layers directly from layers.openembedded.org? Is there an openembedded “classic” vs “core” conflict?

Specifically, I am interested in the tcl language package, as the current one is CoreCDP is a bit older.

Your probably safer to just port the recipe back. This should be pretty straight forward as long as the dependencies are available. You might need to modify the recipe some.
