    I’m a new user of the rCell, trying to create a persistent RS232 connection via CDMA TCP, upon power-up. The device seems to begin a connection, but continues to connect then reconnect. The web interface shows PPP link active. I have clipped part of the serial log below:
    8:10:36: Start trigger is Always-on.Trying to connect to a remote server
    8:10:36: PPP Link is up
    8:10:37: connected to primary server address
    8:10:37: DCD turned ON
    8:10:41: Select returned error…terminating the connection
    8:10:41: DCD turned OFF
    8:10:41: Start trigger is Always-on.Trying to connect to a remote server
    8:10:41: PPP Link is up

    What is, “Select returned error…”? How does that help me debug the issue?

    Uncovered the issue. I had the web browser continuously connected to monitor the modem behavior. This directly interfered with the serial port remaining persistently connected to the remote server.

    With Ethernet cable unplugged, the serial connection is sending/receiving data packets.
