I was looking at the latest version of the Multitool and noticed it has a new option that allows you to upgrade the image or I am assuming the firmware over serial port. My question is one is this only intended to update the mdot AT firmware or any custom firmware that has been previously installed. Also I was wondering in order upgrade the firmware, does the mdot need to be already running in bootloader mode or does it handle breaking into the bootloader behind the scenes?

Example listed below on the site: https://pypi.org/project/mtsmultitool/

Upgrade an mDot over serial with an image that contains a bootloader:
    multitool device upgrade -b COM3 MTDOT mdot_image_4.0.5.bin

    Thanks,
    Ajay

Any thoughts Multitech team on this question? We are trying to figure out if we can use the Multitool to upgrade our firmwares instead of using ymodem mechanism to break into the bootloader and flash it via tera term.

    Thanks,
    Ajay
