    Hello
I forgot the root password to my mt100eocg.
I flashed the kernel image and rootfs from uboot with your downloadable base image and rootfs files. The flash procedure over tftp goes well and it tells me everything is written properly.

After that I would expect to be able to login with the default password for the root user via my debug serial cable. But I can’t!

Shouldn’t flashing the device reset everything?
Is there some common pitfall that I’ve fallen into?

    Regards
    Klaus

    Hi Klaus,

    Please try the following:

    1. Power off/on at the device and then keep hitting the space bar until go into the U-boot prompt and type:

    setenv erase_config nand erase 0x00800000 0x00800000

    2. run erase_config

    3. reset

    4. Log in with – username: root and password: root

    Regards,

    BT
