    Hi,

Commands ifconfig and ip are not found on my MultiTech Conduit AEP.

ifconfig used to work before I upgraded the Firmware to V4.2.1…
I read ifconfig was superseded by ip and that I would have to install iproute2. iproute is indeed installed bur it still doesn’t work 🙁

    admin@mtcdt:/usr/bin$ ifconfig
    -bash: ifconfig: command not found

    admin@mtcdt:/usr/bin$ opkg list | net-tools
    -bash: net-tools: command not found

    admin@mtcdt:/usr/bin$ ip
    -bash: ip: command not found

    admin@mtcdt:/usr/bin$ opkg list-installed | grep iproute2
    iproute2 – 4.7.0-r0.0

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks you!
    Hugues

With 5.2.1 firmware I think you won’t be able to run the commands directly, I believe you will need to prepend your commands with “sudo“.

    for example “sudo ifconfig

    Thanks,
    Ajay
