Hi, I am having an issue when setting up a new AT&T SIM card with the AEP Multitech Conduit. I keep receiving an error saying that the SIM card is locked. After speaking with AT&T they said that the SIM card is active and that no connection has been received. I have the APN set to m2m.com.attz and the PIN number inserted correctly. My other settings are as follows:
Dial Number – *99***1#
Connect String – CONNECT
Dial Prefix – ATDT
I also have cellular enabled. Is there anything that I need to change to connect to AT&T? or does this look like an AT&T problem.
Thanks,
Evan
I thought some SIM/modems did not work in context 1. Here is an example chat script with context 3.
OK ‘AT+CGDCONT=3,”IP”,”YourAPN”‘
OK ‘ATD*99***3#’
Hi, thanks for the quick reply. After switching out the SIM card and reattempting everything with the same settings I was able to get it working. I am guessing the SIM card was inserted incorrectly in some way and after reinserting the SIM card everything worked correctly.
Thanks,
Evan
