ParticipantI am trying to enter in Multiconnect Conduit configuration with 192.168.2.1
My computer is connected to a modem with WiFi, and the Multiconnect Conduit is connected by ethernet in my computer.
I saw in CMD with ipconfig/all that the default gateway is: 0.0.0.0
What can I do?

KeymasterAntonio,
What is the IP on the Ethernet interface of your PC? If it isn’t a 192.168.2.0/24 address you’re PC will try to use the WiFi interface and that route to reach the Conduit.

KeymasterAntonio,
You will have to manually configure the Ethernet interface with a 192.168.2.x address. Once you do that you shouldn’t need a default gateway for that interface. What is the IP that the WiFi interface is getting? As long as that one is not 192.168.2.x the packets for the Conduit should be going through the Ethernet interface.

KeymasterAntonio,
That would be a problem. Your PC is trying to send packets to the Conduit over the WiFi interface because that is where it’s default route probably points to.

KeymasterTurn off wifi and manually configure your ethernet port to:
IP: 192.168.2.100
Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.2.1After this is working, turn wifi back on and google configuration tips for wifi and ethernet.
This will depend on operating system.January 16, 2021 at 2:28 pm #31536Tomas Barthalot
ParticipantHi, I am having a very similar problem, the thing is that I could not make it work with this solution. I have model MTCAP-915-001A and I cannot connect to IP 192.168.2.1.
I have already manually changed the ethernet port to:
– IP: 192.168.2.100
– Mask: 255.255.255.0
– Gateway: 192.168.2.1
I also tried in different PCs and laptop with different Windows versions, different browsers (Chrome, Edge and IE), and the result is the same, it keeps on showing me an error message in the browser “ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED”.
I would much appreciate your help since I am really stuck with this configuration.
Best

ModeratorHi Tomas
You could use a paperclip straightened out and try to factory default the device by using the paperclip to hold the “Reset” button in for 31 seconds.
The MTCAP device should factory default back to it’s default IP of 192.168.2.1 where you can access it through the GUI.-Best Regards
