Hi, i have a MultiTech Conduit® IP67 Base Station
MTCDTIP-L4N1-266A-915
I was able to connect the gateway, but not the devices
I have configured the gateway as Basic Station
i have the keys in local keys
the devices appears in https://192.168.2.1/api/loraNetwork/whitelist, but not appears in https://192.168.2.1/api/lora/config ):The device is a Qualcosonic W1
February 10, 2022 at 5:40 pm #32522Jason ReissKeymasterBasic Station does no use local keys, they only work with network server mode.
All packets are sent to the remote network server configured with basic station.
The end-devices need to be provisioned with the remote network service. There is an updated firmware that will hide the rest of the LoRaWAN menu items when packet forwarder or basic station is selected.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
February 10, 2022 at 5:45 pm #32523Pablo CarquinParticipantOk do I have to configure it in Cloud Key store?
February 10, 2022 at 6:49 pm #32524Pablo CarquinParticipantHelp me to configure please, i have multiple devices but 0 connections ): , only the gateway connection
February 11, 2022 at 7:18 am #32525Jason ReissKeymasterWhat LoRaWAN network service have you configured basic station to connect to?
| I was able to connect the gateway, but not the devices
You may want to create a support case to share your configuration and logs with our team, support.multitech.com.
February 11, 2022 at 7:30 am #32526Pablo CarquinParticipantI connected to AWS IoT for LoRaWAN, i connect the gateway,
but the devices do not connect, in the logs not listed join actions,
the devices when we connect them locally if they connected to the gateway,
but the problem arose when we connected with the cloud,
I think the multitech provider in LATAM configured the device for Network server, but not for basic station,
Could you help me to make a correct configuration of Basic Station towards AWS? I followed the manual given by multitech , but it still doesn’t connect me, manual:
https://www.multitech.com/documents/publications/marketing-guides/MultiTech_Getting_Started_Guide_for_AWS_LoRaWAN.pdfFebruary 11, 2022 at 7:53 am #32527Jason ReissKeymasterThe device DevEUI and AppKeys would need to be added to AWS LoRaWAN services.
Is there a gateway status in the AWS cloud that shows the gateway is connected?
I suggest creating a ticket at support.multitech.com for further help.
February 11, 2022 at 8:06 am #32528Pablo CarquinParticipantYes, appears connected and appears Last uplink received
February 11, 2022 at 8:11 am #32529Jason ReissKeymasterIf gateway is connected and uplinks are received, there should be no further gateway configuration needed.
An end-device may need to be limited to only 8 channels to help join.
Default may have 64 channels enabled. What end-device are you trying to connect?
What firmware or library is being used?
Have you added the device to the AWS network server?February 11, 2022 at 8:14 am #32530Pablo CarquinParticipantend device is = Qualcosonic W1
Firmware = 5.3.7 (updated today)
Yes i added the device with the keys ( we have 100 devices)(An end-device may need to be limited to only 8 channels to help join.
Default may have 64 channels enabled) How can I do that?February 11, 2022 at 8:20 am #32531Jason ReissKeymasterWhat region are have you configured the gateway for?
8 channel configuration would only help a US915 or AU915 device.Do you have a manual for the device?
February 11, 2022 at 8:23 am #32532Pablo CarquinParticipantAU 915
this is the device https://www.bellflowsystems.co.uk/qalcosonic-w1-ultrasonic-water-meter-dn15.htmlFebruary 11, 2022 at 8:38 am #32533Jason ReissKeymasterDo you see uplinks from the device?
Did it work when you configured the local network server?February 11, 2022 at 8:40 am #32534Pablo CarquinParticipantno uplinks, only in server mode, in basic station nothing
February 11, 2022 at 8:44 am #32535Jason ReissKeymasterWhat frequencies did you see in server mode?
What Frequency Sub Band was configured for server mode? The frequencies are sent to the gateway from the AWS network server when basic station mode is used. Is there configuration available for the gateway in AWS?
I did not see a device manual on the linked page. You may need to contact the device manufacturer.
February 11, 2022 at 9:08 am #32536Pablo CarquinParticipanti see 915.200, 916.200, 916.600, 915.600, 916.400, 921.800
yes the frequencies configuration is aviaiable for the gateway in AWS in aws i put AU 915 CLASS A
