Cannot Reset SF800-G

I have an iSMS SF800-G that powers up, but the STATUS LED remains solid light for ever. The other lights seem to behave as expected on power up. So, I cannot reset the device and using a paper clip to press and hold the Reset button does not turn the Status LED off. In fact, when the device is up, the Status LED does not blink, cannot go off, it’s just ON, solid.
A workstation configured in the same network as the default IP 192.168.2.0/24 does not “see” the iSMS server.
How to fix this?
