I have a conduit running in DHCP client mode. I also have a backup PPP connection in case of network problem on the LAN.

But when I unplugged the RJ45 plug and try to send data with NodeRed, the conduit doesn’t switch automatically to PPP. Connection is timed out.

Suprisingly, I’m able to connect to the gateway through PPP connection.

How to configure the gateway, so in case of LAN down, it can switch to the PPP connection to send data ?

    Jerome,

We are currently working on a release that has support for configuring what we call WAN failover. When this is released you will be able to prioritize your WAN interfaces, and the Conduit will detect when a failover needs to occur. This functionality is not available in the current release.

You could create a script that pings through the LAN interface, and when it detects failure, change the gateway settings to point to the PPP interface.

    Jeff
