ParticipantI’ve bought a few of the International versions of the conduit for use in Australia. They come with a wall wart (aka. wall mount power supply) with interchangeable blades. Of course, it comes with every variety except Australian/New Zealand.
The Australian plug exists (at least in catalogues), but my efforts to track one down have turned up nothing. I’m sick of buying adaptors. And bending the pins works, but it’s too easy for them to fall out of the socket.
In the latest one I bought, the charger is “Mega Electronics” brand but the part number doesn’t appear to exist any more. It’s the equivalent of the MW018T-W090 in this catalogue: http://www.megaelectronics.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/MEGA-POWER-SUPPLY-CATALOG-2011.pdf#page=6
In an older Conduit it was a different brand but same thing.
Any ideas on how to get an Australian-compatible power plug? So frustrating to be limited by a bit of plastic and two prongs…

ModeratorHello Author
I do see the Australian power supply and power plug in our accessories
guide. http://www.multitech.com/documents/publications/marketing-guides/wireless-products-accessories-ordering-guide-release-1.6.pdfI also see that one of our distributors Digikey also carries the power
supply. http://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=PS-9VCB-LBC-U-AU%2FNZYou should be able to contact Multitech (sales) or Digikey to get what you
need.-Best Regards

ParticipantThank you, that’s great! I’ve sent an email to sales. I suspect it still might be challenging to get them in hand, but it’s a promising lead.
Unfortunately (based on the photo) the blade attachment would only suit the first Conduit I bought – the second one uses a slightly different attachment style. In that case I can just buy the whole power supply, though that’s a bit of a waste.
Maybe one day I’ll be able to buy the Conduit complete with the Australian plug!

ModeratorHi Heath,
I don’t know if you performed a search for “US to Australia AC adapters” but maybe just such an adapter will fit your needs.

From my original post:
I’m sick of buying adaptors.
I have a stack of them. All of them are bulky, ugly, loose and once in use, can’t be repurposed. Besides, it’s maddeningly backwards to have an adaptor for an adaptor because it’s the wrong adaptor!
