Installing a Micro SD Card

You need:

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • MicroSD memory card – The capacity limit is up to 32 GB using an industrial-grade micro SD card.  The SD card should meet the following requirements according to the processor datasheet regarding the High Speed Multimedia Card Interface (HSMCI):

-Compatible with MultiMedia Card Specification Version 4.3
-Compatible with SD Memory Card Specification Version 2.0
-Uses the Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) format,  version 2.0 of the SD specification, which supports cards with capacities up to 32 GB
-Compatible with SDIO Specification Version 2.0
-Compatible with CE-ATA Specification 1.1
-NOTE: The quality and performance of SD cards varies by manufacturer. We recommend using industrial-grade micro SD cards from the following manufacturers based on customer applications (you may select your own if it meets the above requirements):

                        Kingston and  Swissbit (SLC)

To install or replace the SD card:

  1. Disconnect power to the Conduit, if it is connected.
  2. At the front of the Conduit, remove the screw that secures the MultiTech nameplate.
  3. Locate the SD card at the left side of the opening, on the underside of the PC board.
  4. If an SD card is already installed, gently push the card to release it from its setting and remove it with your fingers.
  5. With the new SD card contacts facing up and toward the interior of the Conduit, gently push the card into the slot to secure it. MicroSD
  6. Reattach the MultiTech nameplate to the housing using the screw removed in step 2.Conduit_SD_Install
