    Hello,

We are about to commission multiple Conduits and would like to have a newer version of python installed. The version of python3 in the multitech opkg repository appears to be 3.5.6 and running pip displays the following warning:

DEPRECATION: Python 3.5 reached the end of its life on September 13th, 2020. Please upgrade your Python as Python 3.5 is no longer maintained. pip 21.0 will drop support for Python 3.5 in January 2021. pip 21.0 will remove support for this functionality.

Is there any chance we can get a more recent version of python available in the repository?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Is there any update on this? Anyone using the Conduit with MQTT and AWS IOT Core will want at least python3.6 installed as the aws-iot-device-sdk-python-v2 requires a minimum of python3.6.

Does anyone have any instructions on how I might go about installing a newer python version not found in the MultiTech repository?

    Thanks!

    -Brett
