    Good afternoon,
I am trying to re-configure my MTDOT-EVB to connect to my gateway. I’ve followed the instructions here: http://www.multitech.net/developer/software/dot-box-and-evb-software/configuration-mode/ using an MDK. I can see the device in my device manager and it looks like it connects on the listed COM port (using 115200) but I cannot type AT commands in. No text appears. I’ve used the same method with the mDot and it works fine using the same MDK.

I’ve tried forcing local echo and text will appear but nothing happens when you hit enter.
I’ve also tried flashing the firmware – I’m using the newest version from the downloads page (v2.1.2).

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi Mary

    Some things to verify.
Windows device Manager should show two COM ports enumerated.
    XR21V and ST Link Virtual.
You would select ST Link Virtual to issue AT Commands to the EVB.
On the EVB be sure you scroll to and select “Configuration” on the EVB
LCD menu screen to issue AT Commands.
Other than that, the orientation of the ribbon cable is critical and use
    115200, 8, N, 1 Terminal settings.

    -Best Regards

    Hi Steve,

Thank you for this. When I was programming the mDot I had to use the XR21V COM port so I didn’t think to try to the ST Link Virtual port. I’m able to put in the commands now.
