MTCDT-210A Gain setting for external antenna

Hello,

I am trying to connect MTCDT-210A 868MHZ to a Laird omnidirectional 5db gain antenna, cable lenght circa 10m. No signal with RG58U, attenuation crca 7.5db for that lenght. What should be the Antenna gain and transmition power in this case or should I go for RG213 or LMR400 cable with lower attenuation?

Hi Boyku

Although I would expect that you would see some signal with the RG58U cable
for best results it would be recommended to use a low loss RG213 or LMR240/LMR400 cable.
