I have configured my MTCAP-868-001A, Firmware 5.0.0-AEP, mPowerâ„¢ Edge Intelligence Conduit AP – Application Enablement Platform,
as PACKET FORWARDER to server us1.loriot.io leaving all default setting.
I configured the device on loriot server by providing its MAC address as required, but it results as not connected.
I would like to know if it is necessary to configure my Multitech AP’s eth0 with a public IP address (currently it is set with a private one).
    Best regards.

    Hello

A public IP Address is not required, you would just need to verify the MTCAP has access to the Internet. That can be done by logging into the device and navigating to “Administration” then “Debug Options” and use the ping feature on that page to ping both an IP Address (8.8.8.8) and a hostname (www.google.com).

    -Best Regards

We would also recommend upgrading the firmware on that MTCAP device from 5.0.0 to more recent firmware version 5.3.5
