MTAC-LORA USB vs SPI on gateway 247

Hi,

I would like to have a clarification regarding MTAC-LORA v1 (USB) vs v1.5 (SPI).

Originaly we thought MTAC-LORA v1 was not compatible with gateway 247 but during a test, one of our engineer plugged an MTAC v1 in a gateway 247 and everything worked.

However, we noticed the lora_pkt_fwd protocol version was downgraded to 1 (Instead of 2).
We would like to know what will be the side effect to use a MTAC USB instead of MTAC SPI ?

Does JIT feature is supported with a MTAC USB ?

The v1 protocol does not support jit queue feedback messages.
A queue was added, via patch, to the forwarder so subsequent downlinks would not bump the previously queued downlink until transmit was complete.

Thanks for your reply, does basic_pkt_fwd_usb v1.4.1 from AEP v1.4.3 include these patches ?

Yes the -usb packet forwarders in 1.4.3 are patched.
