    Good Day –

    After being offline for a while, one of our client Conduit IP67 gateways (MTCDTIP-LAT1-266A) is checking in every four hours but is not uploading log files nor accepting a firmware upgrade. Current firmware is 1.6.4.

    After every four-hour check-in, we’re seeing: ‘SYSTEM_LOG_UPLOAD”}
    Failed’ in the DeviceHQ->Devices->Actions column.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks,
    William

    William,

    Do you have access through the Web UI to this device. This looks like the device’s Remote Management configuration has been changed. It is possible to turn off firmware upgrade, configuration upgrade, configuration upload, and change the check-in interval(s) through the UI.

    Something/someone has changed the default settings which are 12hrs check-in interval, enable firmware upgrade, enable configuration upgrade, and enable configuration upload. By default Remote Management is disabled, so, since that is working it must be enabled.

    William,

    I looked at the database entry for this device and the commands had a strange entry. I removed that entry and now this device is showing “Firmware Upgrade Queued”.

    It should upgrade on its next check-in.

    Regards,
    Carol

    Thank you very much, Carol and Jeff –

    The gateway is back to normal now. New firmware was deployed, and log files are available again.

    Have a great week!

    Best,
    William
