    Hi

I’m new and not that technical. I have a new AEP Conduit model (with GPS/Wifi/Bluetooth) and have followed the set-up instructions (Install and connect Conduit Hardware), but can’t connect via http://192.168.2.1 I get “Failed to open page”. I use a iMac which is connected to the internet via wifi and connected to the conduit via ethernet cable. I have also tried to switch-off he wifi connection on the desktop.

Do I need a cross-over cable, or do I need to change the IP and Gateway details on my desktop?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Ian

    To further clarify.

I can ping 192.168.2.1 (if I change my network config to a static IP of 192.168.2.28), and the gateway is still in 192.168.2.1 and on static IP.

Still get the same error though and can’t connect to the GUI.

    Hi Ian

Yes, you do need to set your PC IP address to static on the same subnet.
If you can successfully ping the gateway at 192.168.2.1
have you tried browsing to it using https https://192.168.2.1

    Hi Steve

Thanks. Yes, I’ve changed to a static IP on the same subnet, and I can ping 192.168.2.1. Still can’t reach it if try http or https://192.168.2.1

    Hi Ian

Can you try a ssh client like putty and try and ssh into the Conduit at 192.168.2.1
