    Hello,

I have two LoRa Conduit gateways configured as a network server. My devices use OTAA to communicate with them. The problem is that if I turn off one gateway, I expect the devices to join the other but that’s not what happens, they always try to join the first gateway they joined.

Could you tell me if I missed a configuration or if I didn’t understand something?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello Christophe

That should work, assuming that both Conduit Gateways are configured the same.
Has your OTAA devices ever successfully ‘Joined’ the other Gateway?
If not, we should check that the Conduit Gateways LoRaWAN configurations are the same.

    Thank you for your answer.

I compared the configuration (lora-query -x config) of the two gateways. It is exactly the same (except the gateway eui). The devices that I use for now are an Adeunis network tester (https://www.adeunis.com/en/produit/ftd-network-tester/) and an ELA N’Track (https://elainnovation.com/lora-n-track.html).

Do you think the problem could come from these devices doing the join request only once ?

    Regards

    Hi Christophe

Verify both Conduit Gateways ‘LoRa Network Server’ settings match as well as the Adeunis (DevEUI,AppEUI, AppKEY) credentials in the Conduit.
Enable logging in the Conduit LoRa Network Server to view “Join” requests.
